“Abandon endless exposure, and embrace unnoticed life”

Hey, I am Owen!

I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. I enjoy working with a lot of traditional mediums (pencils, watercolours, printing) as well as creating cleaner graphic work too. I have a strong interest in wildlife, particularly bird spotting!

The brief was to create a series of beginner wildlife guides for people aged 15-40 visiting Aylestone Meadows (a local green area). The aim of which is to introduce people to the wildlife around them. The book features a unique colour tab system, tailored map data from 100+ hours of first-hand research, and is full of hand-drawn illustrations.

Supermarkets have a focus on families, making grocery shopping for one hard. I’ve visualised a product range partnered with Tescos to help solve this problem. The range consists of foods that are tricky to find small portions of, as well as more commonly wasted foods. It also includes partnerships with well known brands such as Heinz, and extends to other products like kitchen-ware too. The main difference - everything is portioned for one person.

The brief was to create a project driven by a passion using the statement ‘Circle back’ set by The Cameron Day Charitable Trust. Steam (a video game platform) is hosting a fundraising event for mental health support. The front page, usually full of new games, has been turned into a collection of your own games. Relive your favourite moments, dive back into nostalgic worlds, and gather the friend group to join in. Discover exclusive collectables and most importantly - enjoy!
